Description:

 

Job Summary:
Serves as a Cyber Training Instructor & Developer under the supervision of the Chief, Cyber Training & Sustainment Branch, Training & Support Division. Conduct classroom theory & operations and validation cyber training to Army warfighters worldwide. Perform analyses and oversight of cyber courseware development (Offensive Cyber Operations, Defensive Cyber Operations, Department of Defense Information Network, and DoDD 85-70 Certification Courses) to be strategically delivered to the Army warfighter.  Provide guidance to supporting commands and coordinates with internal and external organizations to ensure completeness of training product.     

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in the areas of Defensive Cyber Operations, Offensive Cyber Operations, & Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN). Instruct intermediate and advanced level cyber security courses in the following areas: Networking Fundamentals, Advanced Networking, Cyber Forensics, Web Penetration Testing, Programming, Secure Programming, Linux, VMware, PMP, ITIL, ACAS, HBSS, Network Security, Core Operating Systems, and Infiltration Avoidance, and DoDD 85-70 Certification courses. Develops training materials, provides analysis and presentations in support of all cyber training. 

2. Conducts comprehensive analyses to ensure that the integration of cyber training is adequate to support current and emerging cyber warfighting systems. Deliver assigned classes using pedagogy and technological techniques that best support student learning, and in accordance with course objectives and program learning outcomes. Develop and maintain curriculum and supporting course materials in keeping with and furtherance of course objectives and program learning outcomes. Maintain student records, attendance, grades, and other documentation as required. Manage a classroom environment conducive to student learning and in adherence to supporting standards and regulations. Stay current on and maintain proficiency with current products and technologies in the cyber domain. Use Learning Management System (e.g. LandWarNet) to facilitate teaching, learning, assessment and communication. Analyze changes in cyberspace warfare and related doctrine and techniques to determine impact on Army cyber operational capabilities. 

3. Maintains technical currency; prepares written reports and analyses. Maintains military and analytical currency through continued formal and informal education. Remains cognizant of new developments and problems which impact Army cyber capabilities. Pursues professional development through continued education, business contacts, military literature and reports, and professional seminars, meetings, and briefings.

Qualifications:

 

Basic Qualifications:
Professional certifications or ability to obtain:  CompTIA Security+, CCNA, CEH, other relevant training and certification.  
Familiar with and ability to teach Advanced Networking, Network security, and DOD 85-70 material.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 
Typically requires BS degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience (additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree).
