Senior Russian Linguist/Collector - Active TS/SCI required
Leidos has an opening for a Russian Linguist/Collector to work in Suitland, MD. The Sr. Russian Linguist/Collector will conduct open source research and provide linguist/translation support focused on Russian language sources.
All work is located in Suitland, MD. A current, active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this role.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Research open sources in Russian
- Translate identified materials from Russian into English
- Provide Russian social media monitoring
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Current, active TS/SCI clerarance
5+ years of experience with Russian language social media research and exploitation
5+ years of experience producing written products at the college level and advanced knowledge of MS Office
2+ years experience with naval terminology, or operational experience
Fluency in Russian to the DLPT 3L/3R Level
3+ years of recent experience translating Russian to English
3+ years of experience in translation quality control (QC) or quality assurance (QA)
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration
Specialization in translating and/or transcribing military and/or naval documents
Experience and expertise in military, and naval surface and subsurface terminology
Bachelor's or Master's degree in linguistics, translation, English language, or Russian language
