Cloud Computing Software Engineer
Leidos is seeking Software Engineers with extensive experience in DevOps implementation within Commercial Cloud Computing environments.
This position requires extensive hands on experience migrating traditional data center web applications to commercial cloud environments such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
Help to define the future of our cloud automation and container-based deployment strategies.
Develop automation methods and services that will be used by various application teams.
Work with a variety of application teams, Ops teams and architects in a DevOps environment.
Ability to recommend and architect DevOps related tooling frameworks.
Strong process re-engineering skills.
Strong Collaboration skills.
Strong Systems Integration expertise (Years of experience with systems and IT operations).
Be comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment using AGILE methodologies.
Possess ITIL background.
Strong coding and scripting background.
Education and Experience:
Requires BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
May possess a Doctorate in technical domain or add additional relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Must have Top Secret Clearance.
Must meet DoDD 8570 IAT Level II or higher Baseline Certificatin requirements (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
Experience working with DoD networks.
Desired Cloud related certifications AWS, Microsoft Azure.
Experience with large-scale distributed systems, service oriented architectures, AGILE (JIRA), Continuous Integration and Delivery, DevOps Tooling for Automation (Ansible, Jenkins, Git)
Solid understanding of Cloud Technologies Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
Software Development experience in object oriented (Java / MS .Net) web applications.
