Cost Lead Analyst
Leidos has a career opening for a Cost Lead Analyst located in Reston, VA.
The job of the Cost Lead Analyst is to assume responsibility for a variety of pricing and estimating activities as an integral member of the Defense and Intelligence Group. This is a fast-paced position requiring attention to detail, demonstrated problem solving skills, ability to multi-task and thrive in a deadline-driven environment, and a willingness to work extended hours as needed to finish the job and to see a proposal through to completion. Flexible on work location. Some travel required.
-Will lead the development of strategies for the corporation’s largest and most complex proposals.
-Will provide oversight for all functional participation in the cost volume, and will lead the effort to produce the final cost volume deliverable. This will involve close coordination with Contracts, Procurement, Capture Management, Finance and Technical Estimators.
-Will be responsible for content development, including narrative and clear explanations of how costs are aligned with the technical/management solution.
-Will be responsible for coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to lower level professionals.
-Must be knowledgeable of pricing tools, templates, and have the ability to quickly model business cases.
-Candidate will need the ability to lead the cost volume team.
-Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in an area emphasizing quantitative analysis methods, with 12+ years of prior relevant experience, or a Masters degree with 10+ ears of prior relevant experience. Additional years of Pricing related experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
-Must be proficient with math, advanced finance principles and desktop applications (ie – MS Office Suite, especially MS Word & MS Excel).
-SME level experience in Cost Volume and Proposal Development. A demonstrated ability to understand customer requirements, to apply contracting principles, and to develop compelling solutions.
-Demonstrated ability to apply lessons learned to new opportunities on a routine basis.
-Strong negotiation skills.
-Strong writing skills.
-Must possess professional demeanor, and excellent communication skills.
-Expertise in government contracting and services business models.
-Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
-Active Top Secret clearance is preferred for this position.
-Statistical tool experience a plus.
-Knowledge of ProPricer is highly desirable.
