Leidos has a requirement for an experienced Software Engineer with a DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI to join our team supporting the CECOM Software Engineering Center (SEC), Terrestrial Sensors Branch (TSB).  This individual will be responsible for supporting the Biometrics Data Center, Help Desk, and Operational Software Environment associated with the Post Production Software Sustainment (PPSS) of the Biometrics Automated Toolset-Army (BAT-A).  This position provides operations, maintenance, software services (debugging, software change request identification, and software fixes), and associated Tier II Help Desk support for fielded BAT-A systems.       


- Candidate will assign job taskings for the software engineers and system engineers supporting the Post Production Software Sustainment activities of BAT-A at Ft. Huachuca

- Candidate will task personnel to submit Weekly Activity Reports, Monthly Status Reports, and any ad hoc reporting and briefing products

- Act as tasking lead for Tier II Help Desk support for BAT-A users and maintain government specified metrics on repair and support

- Provide Post Production Software Sustainment support to include software debugging, software change request evaluation and analysis, and software development for the BAT-A Server/Web, BAT-A HH, and BAT-A Laptop

- Develop software tools, simulators, and interfaces; 

- Design, develop, and test embedded operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software applications.

- DoD Top Secret Clearance with the ability to be read on for SCI caveats
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline
o A substitution of 8 years additional biometrics applications experience in lieu of the degree is allowable
- A minimum of 8-12 years’ experience working with biometrics applications
- Candidate must possess DoD 8570 at the IAT Level II Certification consisting of one of the following: GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security AND Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or another acceptable secondary CE.
- Ability to perform system maintenance, set-ups, establish firewalls, manage ports, fix intra-system software communication and data replication/integrity

- Experience and knowledge of hardware functionality and relationships with software
- Experience with Microsoft programming languages (COM, COM+, .Net), Microsoft Server 2012 R2, and Microsoft SQL Server
