Description:

Employee will be performing testing on multiple projects supporting the NISC III program. Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for the creation and execution of test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures following the FAA System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile Methodologies. The candidate will review, report and submit all results of testing to the project manager. The candidate will work with senior Software Engineers to remediate software bugs and perform multiple test cycles. Selected candidate may advise project team leader and IT management on ways to improve quality of software being delivered to Quality Assurance (QA) for test. Employee will participate in product design reviews to increase the candidate s understanding of functional requirements, and product designs. Employee will be assigned to generate and review software documentation and report to the team lead about inconsistencies that team lead may use to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks. Employee will be expected to manage their work within the time frame set out by the project plan.


Qualifications:

Basic qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and 2+ years of related experience. Able to support several IT projects. Must be a team player. Able to effectively communicate with developers, business analyst and other stakeholders. The selected candidate will have experience and can demonstrate complete understanding and capability to: Experience performing load balance testing and stress testing with HP RoadRunner or similar tool. Ability to identify root causes of performance issues by analyzing database scripts (SQL, Stored Procedures), network latency,.NET code, JavaScript code and other internal or external entities that might affect performance. Experience performing Functional testing, Regression testing, Smoke testing, load testing, security testing, Latency testing and Acceptance testing for complex IT system. Experience creating, developing, conducting and monitoring User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with system stakeholders. Knowledge, skills, and experience in developing test and quality plans, evaluating requirements for testability, evaluating and establishing test approaches and methods, developing test cases and constructing functional, regression, and performance/load/stress scripts using test tools. Knowledge, skills, and experience in evaluating requirements for testability, evaluating and establishing test approaches and methods, developing test cases and constructing functional, regression, and performance/load/stress scripts using test tools. Experience developing testing programs that address areas such as the functional and operational performance of the system. Experience documenting test procedures to ensure repeatability and compliance with standards. Experience using JIRA. Experience creating and running scripts using automated testing suites like Selenium or QTP.

 

Desired qualifications:

Experience testing SharePoint-based applications. Experience with PTC Integrity, SharePiont, Subversion .NET applications, SDLC, HTML, and Toad. Experience testing software application for the FAA, DOT or any other federal organization. Experience with the FAA or DOT Enterprise change management board ECMB. Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience.
