Software Quality Engineer
Employee will be performing testing on multiple projects supporting the NISC III program. Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for the creation and execution of test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures following the FAA System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile Methodologies. The candidate will review, report and submit all results of testing to the project manager. The candidate will work with senior Software Engineers to remediate software bugs and perform multiple test cycles. Selected candidate may advise project team leader and IT management on ways to improve quality of software being delivered to Quality Assurance (QA) for test. Employee will participate in product design reviews to increase the candidate s understanding of functional requirements, and product designs. Employee will be assigned to generate and review software documentation and report to the team lead about inconsistencies that team lead may use to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks. Employee will be expected to manage their work within the time frame set out by the project plan.
Experience testing SharePoint-based applications. Experience with PTC Integrity, SharePiont, Subversion .NET applications, SDLC, HTML, and Toad. Experience testing software application for the FAA, DOT or any other federal organization. Experience with the FAA or DOT Enterprise change management board ECMB. Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience.
