Junior Network Engineer
Leidos's Military & Veterans Health Solutions Group currently has an opening for a Junior Network Engineer in San Antonio, TX.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides overall network support for a broad range of Military Health System programs. Supports installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of local area network (LAN) and/or Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure. Manages daily operations of local and wide area networks within span of control. May propose solutions to management regarding future needs and current usage. Assists in planning for upgrades and replacements for facilities interconnected on a common network. Supports initial point of contact for LAN/WAN problems at Military Medical Facilities. Provides the focal point for coordination of higher tiers of maintenance support. Will evaluate network performance using hardware and software diagnostic tools. Evaluates network changes for operational impact. Works on problems of moderate scope. May determine methods and procedures to be used on new assignments. Frequently interacts with customers and functional peer groups. Must be willing to work alternative shifts.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: HS Diploma and 2-6 years experience.
One or more relevant professional Network Technical Certifications such as Network+, CCNA, CCDA) is preferred, Security + required. Experience with Military network infrastructure is preferred.
US Citizenship required, must be able to obtain and maintain an ADPII government security clearance.
