Description:

Candidate will work on the Paper and Remittance Process Support (PRPS) II effort for the Internal Revenue Service. This position will serve as a tester for both the ISRP and SCRIPs systems.

 

This position is a Software Tester on the PRPS program. The candidate must have experience analyzing customer requirements and design documentation to interpret customer needs and use that analysis to create test artifacts. Must have experience with the creation and successful execution of test plans/cases and procedures. Must have the ability to create traceability between test artifacts and customer requirements and/or design documentation. Must be self motivated and successful working as a part of a team. The candidate must have experience conducting detailed reviews of test artifacts created by team members within and outside of the test team and documenting reported results. Must be able to test on a multi-tiered, server based application running in a Windows and/or UNIX environment.

Qualifications:
Must have experience with defect management using a defect capture tool to report defects, manage defect states, and catalog all defects on the system. Must have good communication and organizational skills. Testing experience with software performing document scanning and image capture and subsequent processing of that image. Test experience on existing and evolving COTS products. 508 testing is a plus. Experience working along side multiple functional teams throughout the software development life cycle. Requirements management (System Engineer) experience is a plus. Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline and 2 - 5 years of experience or equivalent experience/combined education.
