Description:
Leidos is seeking an ambitious mid-to-senior level Program Manager who is well-versed in firm fixed price (FFP) DoD contracts to manage one, and possibly many, projects associated with collaborative open architecture autonomy efforts.  The PM will be based out of our Arlington, VA leading and managing technical and functional personnel in an engineering system development environment.  
 
The Program Manager responsibilities include:
- Provides programmatic oversight of 10-15 geographically dispersed employees assigned to the program from technical and administrative areas, implementing industry best practices to meet contract requirements.
- Establishes milestones and ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies and manages risks and program problems and develops mitigations/solutions.
- Presents formal and informal project status/plan briefings to the government and corporate managers through oral and written communications.
- Serve as contract representative and is responsible for managing all aspects of the program, including project planning, development and implementation according to cost, schedule, and technical (scope) requirements.


Qualifications:
 In order to be successful in this role you must have the following:
- B.S. degree in software, systems, or related technical field with at least 8 years of leading and managing technical and functional personnel in an engineering system development environment (focus is physics and phenomenology, not Information Technology [IT])
- Must have an active Secret security clearance
- Project Management Professional (PMP), or DAU Level III certification
- Experience with the following: 
   - Development of software and system solutions for air platforms
   - Integrating sensors and avionics systems on DoD platforms 
   - Subcontract management
   - Managing fast-paced, highly dynamic Firm Fixed Price contracts greater than $10M
   - Service center and associated management
   - Managing DoD contracts with multiple “colors of money” and ACRNs
   - Reviewing requirements and generating complete and accurate Bases Of Estimate (BOEs)
   - Developing EVMS products and providing analysis. 
- Willing to travel 30% or more during surge periods
- Possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Team player who is able to prioritize and effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner (email, spoken, & reports).
- Ability to make sound decisions and handle stress, while meeting deadlines and performing in a high-paced environment.
