Description:

Leidos has an opportunity for an intermediate-level systems engineer/systems integrator providing direct support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) SAPCO element in Huntsville AL. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with excellent communication skills to collaborate closely with customer and program personnel. This position is located at the MDA Von Braun complex at Redstone Arsenal. To be considered for this role, a candidate must have an active TS/SCI clearance.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•Provide systems engineering technical support in the establishment of and execution of special programs. 

•Assist the program manager in developing critical program information (CPI) for special programs.

•Assist in establishing appropriate program protections beyond the collateral security structure. 

•Assist in the development of security classification guides (emphasis on Section II).
 
•Assist in the development of sensitive test plans. 

•Assist in all test undertakings to include Ground Test, Flight Test, and Modeling and Simulation activities.

•Help determine security classification of technical issues that arise. 

•Assist in Technology Protection Panel meeting and document meeting minutes.

•Evaluate future Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) weapon system technology concept, integration and testing efforts for potential impacts to the Ballistic Missile Defense System. 

•Assist in responding to Congressional inquiries and senior OSD and Service briefings. 

•Develop briefings for senior customers, including congressional staffers, OSD, and budget briefings. 

•Support Deputy Director, Special Programs in coordinating and staffing briefings, test plans, staff packages through the entire MDA chain of command. 

•Collaborate closely with government and contractor personnel in team environment. 

•Participate in team meetings. 

•Provide technical indoctrinations to new personnel. 

•Develop subject matter expertise in the Ballistic Missile Defense System.



Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 

•BA/BS with 7+ years of related experience or MA/MS with 5+ years of related experience

•Active TS/SCI clearance 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
• DoD Security/Acquisition experience and/or previous Missile Defense/Intelligence Community experience.
