Command and Control Computer Systems Engineer
The Defense & Intelligence Group of Leidos has a career opening for a Command and Control Computer Systems Engineer to support the National Military Command Center in Arlington, VA.
Customer Support , Command and Control Computer Systems Engineer in support of the Air Force National Capital Region (AFNCR) Information Technology Systems contract. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience supporting the National Military Command Center’s Computer Systems. The successful candidate will be a proven performer and self-starter with the ability to work well as a part of a team.
Engineer and maintain Nuclear Command and Control Computer systems in the National Military Command Center.
•Engineers and maintains networks, circuits, VPN’s.
•Engineers routers, switches, and cryptographic equipment to stand up secure ircuits and pathways.
•Develops system drawings and diagrams in support of configuration management efforts.
•Provides subject matter expertise to project managers and customers in development of new requirements.
•Provides advice and guidance in implementing IT security policies and procedures in the development and operation of network systems.
•Coordinates maintenance and operational actions directly with the Joint Staff, DDO, CWO, and the Joint Staff Surveillance Officer.
•Conducts risk and vulnerability assessments of installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs.
•Performs maintenance on systems which include smart routers, keyboards, cabling, servers, personal computers, and peripherals.
•Maintains a comprehensive quality assurance program for diverse platforms that covers, file backup and recovery, equipment maintenance, and quality control of systems processing and outputs.
•High School Diploma
•6-8 Years’ experience in IT Support
•Experience working in a Military Command Center
•IAT Level II Certification ( Sec +)
•Active TS/SCI clearance
