Supply Chain Engineer
Leidos is seeking a Project/Procurement Engineer to for multiple Strategic Sourcing and business capture initiatives utilizing a combination of technical background and project management expertise. Work location is either in Reston, VA or Gaithersburg, MD.
The successful candidate will spend time supporting proposals and programs as a key member of a cross functional team. Experience in program management interactions and managing their expectations is a key requirement. Experience in solving problems with Cost/Value Engineering, Affordability, and Technical Solutions is a must. Must have experience with developing Sourcing Strategies, Material Cost Estimating, Bill of Material development and ownership. Due to nature of assignments, up to 25% travel is possible.
-Serves as Procurement Engineer in the Strategic Technology Sourcing organization with interaction with numerous HW, SW, Cloud, Cyber and other material OEM’s.
-This role will also have job responsibilities associated with Supplier Management, Program Management, Proposal Strategy Development, Bill of material development and ownership, Program Material Acquisition, Business Process Re-Engineering, and Procurement tool deployments.
-Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, and 2 - 4 years of professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
-Experience with project management, procurement, sourcing, with a demonstrated history of developing technical sourcing solutions that meet program requirements.
-Experience with providing supply chain/ sourcing functional support on proposals is a must.
-Strong understanding in acquisition of information technology, software, cloud and other materials.
-Experience with supplier coordination including hardware and software selection, maintenance issues, and problem resolution.
-Demonstrated experience interfacing across multiple organizations and program management levels.
-Ability to work under tight time constraints.
-Experience as a Team Lead/Leader in prior relevant assignment

-Multi-tasking, can handle multiple program interfaces simultaneously with minimal supervision.
-Demonstrated experience interfacing across multiple organizations and program levels.
-Experience in Supply Chain Engineering, Logistics, HW/SW Maintenance Planning, Earned Value Management, Proposal Volume Authorship Experience.
-Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
