The Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group (SRG) of Leidos has an excellent opportunity for a Thermo-Structural Engineer in our Valley Forge, PA office with significant travel to Tucson.
Successful candidate will apply thermal and computational structural dynamics models to predict hypersonic air vehicle temperatures, stresses, and deformations.
Candidate will also apply a tool suite for conceptual design, detailed design and analysis. Prepare written and verbal deliverables, reports and presentations for management and daily or weekly customer review.
Candidates must have Masters in an Aerospace or Mechanical (or similar) Engineering, Physics or Mathematics, and 8+ years of industry experience in high speed weapons systems.
Candidate must be a US citizen and currently have an active SECRET security clearance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
The applicant must be able to work in a collaborative, fast paced, team environment.
Must be Dependability, initiative, and ability to solve problems both as part of a team and as an individual performer.
Must be proficiency with Microsoft Office; FORTRAN; Matlab; and thermos-structural computational models from engineering level to NASTRAN is a requirement.
